Guatemala

For the past six years BuildaBridge has assisted Strategies for Transformation and La Limonada School in developing an arts camp and programming for children living in an urban barrio.  The barrio has been riddled with gangs, drugs and violence.  The arts camp takes place at a beach camp.  Over 100 Children are bused outside the barrio for a week-long camp of arts, sports and activities that focus on hope and peace-making.  Local artists are engaged with the goal of serving as primary teachers, with international teachers assisting and transferring skills.  Training is required.
